We are so excited to share this family photo session with you today! Kiersten celebrated her graduation by taking some portraits with us at Cultivate Studios in Greenville, SC. We are going to share those in a future blog post. Today we’re sharing her family photos! We had SUCH a blast with them!

We started the session by capturing some family photos. We love doing a mix of laughing photos and photos that look more candid mixed with more posed photos. We think it makes a gallery feel complete by focusing on those little moments or capturing some side angles.

We also make sure to take time for the parents during any family session! Family life can be busy, so being able to capture both parents together is so important. We love grabbing some photos of the two parents in love during every session.

Since Stephanie & I are a duo, we’re able to split up during this time to work faster. I captured the couple photos for Kiersten and her husband while Stephanie captured photos of the kids! She did group photos and individual photos of the kids as well! After the family session, we did some portraits of just Kiersten to celebrate her graduation. Stay tuned for those in a future post!

Cultivate Studios in Greenville, SC

Kiersten contacted us in the middle of summer and it was HOT! She asked for an indoor option for the family photos and senior photos. Cultiave Studios was the perfect place for our session! It’s located in the Lofts at Woodside Mill apartment complex. You pretty much have free range of any of the beautiful locations inside the lofts. For this session, we stayed in the area with large windows and white walls.

You can also use their apartment studio setup for photos too! We took Kiersten’s senior portraits there. They have it setup with lighting equipment so there’s anything you might need! They also had a pitcher of iced water available. A bluetooth speaker was available too so we could play music during the session! They made the whole process so effortless. We can’t wait to schedule more sessions at Cultivate!
